The branch always has many cats and several dogs awaiting adoption.

Animals for adoption can be viewed by clicking dogs for rehoming for dogs available to rehome.

The branch held its annual dog show at Deerness Kennels on Sunday 6 July 2014.  The rain held off and a good time was had by all.

The branch held it’s annual dog show at Deerness Kennels on Sunday 6 July 2014.  The rain held off and a good time was had by all.


We are now able to accept donations using PayPal, to make a donation just click on PayPal.

Except for the cruelty line, the numbers are manned by volunteers who are unable to assist with either wild animals or stray dogs; unowned cats may be dealt with on a case by case basis. If a wild animal is hurt you can take them to a vet; for stray dogs contact the local council. If you need to contact a volunteer about a dog you can email ddog@rspcadurham.org.uk and the message will be passed to the dog co-ordinators.

The Durham branch will be holding it’s Christmas Fair on Saturday 6 December 2014 at Newton Hall Community Hall 11.30 - 3.00.  Dogs welcome as long as they are on a lead.  The community centre is next to the Bowling centre (turn right at the roundabout [Asda to left] then right and follow around.
